Noch etwas möchte ich sagen: Ich teile nicht die Auffassung von Calvin über die Erwählung der Gläubigen. Nach Calvin hat der Mensch keinen freien Willen und somit auch keine Entscheidungsmöglichkeit für oder gegen Gott. Ich glaube, dass der Mensch einen relativ freien Willen hat, er hat keinen absolut freien Willen weil er ein gefallener Mensch ist, aber einen relativ freien Willen, denn Gott will keine Marionetten. Ich vertrete die Lehre der "Erwählung als Vorauswissen" die besagt, dass Gott schon vor Grundlegung der Welt gewusst hat, welcher Mensch sich mit seinem relativ freien Willen, für ihn entscheidet und in diesem Sinn dann vor Grundlegung der Welt erwählt ist.

Ich kenne keine 2 Brüder die über dieses herrliche Thema wirklich nachgedacht haben und zum selben Schluss gekommen sind. (Wenn sie überhaupt zu einem Schluss gekommen sind.) Ich sehe es etwa so wie Du es kurz beschrieben hast, aber jedesmal, wenn wir eine Fassette bestaunen, wird und der Herr neue Herrlichkeiten seines Erlösungsplanes zeigen. Wir werden auch in der Ewigkeit IHN anbeten, dass Er uns in der Ewigkeit bereist auserwählt hat, um uns seinem Sohne unserem Herrn als Braut zu schenken.

vielleicht sind noch einige ergänzende Gedanken zu Eurer Diskussion erlaubt, die ich mit Interesse gelesen habe:

1) Vorherwissen – Vorherbestimmung - Auserwählung

Die Tatsache des Wissens Gottes über diejenigen die sein Heil in Christus annehmen werden ist m.E. bei allen Christen unbestritten, da Gott sonst nicht allwissend wäre.

Gott hat jedoch einen bestimmten Plan und ein Ziel mit seiner Gemeinde bzw. mit jedem einzelnen Gläubigen: Eph 2, 10 „Denn wir sind sein Gebilde, in Christus Jesus geschaffen zu guten Werken, die Gott vorher bereitet hat, damit wir in ihnen wandeln sollen.“

Das Ziel das sich Gott mit unserem Leben als Christen vorgenommen hat, ist längst fertig und wir haben die Pläne Gottes zu erkennen und entsprechend zu leben. Gott kannte natürlich auch sämtliche Fehler, Sünden und eigene Wege, die wir gehen würden im voraus und hat sie in seine Bestimmung für uns mit einbezogen. Jonas Flucht etwa und seine spätere Wiederherstellung, waren Gott dem Allwissenden längst bekannt und er hat dies natürlich in seiner Lebensplanung für Jona mit einbezogen. Es gab/gibt also keine Überraschungen für Gott.

Die Erwählung und Vorherbestimmung der Gemeinde bzw. des einzelnen Gläubigen ist jedoch nicht auf die Errettung im Sinne der Wiedergeburt gerichtet, da die Errettung der Wille Gottes für alle Menschen ist, sondern auf das Leben der Christen: Eph 1,4 „wie er uns in ihm auserwählt hat vor Grundlegung der Welt, daß wir heilig und tadellos vor ihm seien“.

Gott schreibt seine Heilsgeschichte in der Zeit der Gemeinde nur mit Menschen, die an Jesus Christus glauben – er hat seine ewigen Pläne auf diese Personen gerichtet und hat ihnen ein heiliges und untadeliges Leben im Gehorsam verordnet (z.B. 1.Petrus 1,1f Auserwählung der Gläubigen zum Gehorsam nach Vorkenntnis Gottes).

Im Kontrast dazu steht die Welt da, die von Gott nichts wissen will und von der Gott nur erwartet und bestimmt hat, dass sie zu Jesus Christus kommen müssen.

Wenn man so will, kann man es kurz gefasst vielleicht so formulieren:

Die Bestimmung Gottes für die Welt ist: Glaube an den Herrn Jesus Christus

Die Bestimmung Gottes für die Gemeinde ist (u.a.):

Dem Bilde Jesu Christi gleichförmig zu sein (Rö 8)
Frucht zu bringen (Joh.15,16 Ihr habt nicht mich erwählt, sondern ich habe euch erwählt und euch dazu bestimmt, daß ihr hingeht und Frucht bringt und eure Frucht bleibe, damit, was ihr den Vater bitten werdet in meinem Namen, er euch gebe)
heilig und untadelig zu sein Eph 1,3f

Leider kommen wir in unserem Leben unserer Auserwählung und Bestimmung nicht immer nach und betrüben den Herrn dadurch.

Ebenso – aber in weit schrecklicherem Ausmaß - kam Judas seiner Erwählung durch den Herrn Jesus, nämlich Apostel Jesu Christi zu sein, nicht nach:

„Joh 6:70 Jesus antwortete ihnen: Habe ich nicht euch, die Zwölf, erwählt ? Und von euch ist einer ein Teufel.“ bzw. Apg 1:25 „damit er die Stelle dieses Dienstes und Apostelamtes empfängt, von dem Judas abgewichen ist“

Hat Gott den Judas etwa vorherbestimmt und erwählt Jesus zu verraten ? Sicherlich nicht, da Gott nie Urheber solch einer schrecklichen Tat wäre. Allerdings hat er in seinem Vorherwissen diesen Verrat sehr wohl vorhergesehen und ihn in seinen Heilsplan einbezogen und in Apg1,16 vorhergesagt (NICHT vorherbestimmt). Es war jedoch der eigene Entschluss des Judas in Kombination mit dämonischer Aktivität (Joh 13,2 Verrat = Eingebung Satans) ausschlaggebend.

2) Arthur Pink

Was ich bisher von ihm gelesen bzw. gehört habe, würde ich ihn als falschen Lehrer einstufen, d.h. könnte seine Schriften nicht empfehlen, ja man müsste evtl. sogar davor warnen.

Discussions with many people around the world reveal that multitudes of sincere, Bible-believing Christians are "Calvinists" only by default.

Thinking that the only choice is between Calvinism with its doctrine of etemal security and Arminianism with its falling away, and confident that salvation cannot be lost because of Christ's promise to keep etemally those who believe in Hirn, they therefore consider themselves to be Calvinists.

It takes only a few simple questions to discover the fact that most ofthose who regard themselves as Calvinists are largely unaware ofwhat J ahn Calvin and his early followers ofthe sixteenth and seventeenth centuries actually believed and practiced. Nor do they fully understand what most oftoday's leading Calvinists believe.

While there are disputed variations of this doctrine, among its chief proponents (whom we quote extensively in context) there is general agreement on certain core hellers. Multitudes who believe they understand Calvinism will be shocked to discover its Roman Catholic roots and Calvin's grossly un- Christian behavior as the "Protestant Pope" of Geneva, Switzerland.

Most shocking Drall, however, is Calvinism's misrepresentation ofGod who "is love." It is OUT prayer that the following pages will enable readers to examine more carefully the vital issues involved and to follow God's Holy Ward and not man.
